For those of you who are new to JCL, I would recommend checking out the Information page. In short, JCL, formally known as the Junior Classical League, is an organization of Latin lovers who come together a few times a year to compete in academics, sports, Latin pride, and certamen (Latin academic team). Unfortunately, convention has come to a close, and I’m sure you all are crying in your rooms over this fact. But don’t fear, for the National JCL convention is only a few months away! I strongly suggest that you consider attending this event. This year it’s being held at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, the home of the American Classical League, the parent organization of the JCL. I’ve attended the national convention the last two years, and I can’t say enough good things about it! It is so much fun and there is never a dull moment. Nationals has everything that state has multiplied by a million. You can see a short recap of last year’s National Convention on the activities page. This promises to be an exciting year; all the officers are excited about their positions and have already begun their work. Keep checking this amazing website for updates on what’s going on in the Kentucky Junior Classical League. Until next time, stay purple and gold. Maddie Kusch-Kavanagh KJCL President
